GINGERBREAD FOR OPTIMUS ONE OUT (INDIA)

Hi All,
Much awaited gingerbread update for optimus one is out in india and rest of asia pacific region too.
There aren't much changes only minor changes in UI .. But Performance is REALLY improved..NO LAGGING...From my initial tests i gather that touch bug has also been fixed...
But those CRAPPY AND USELESS apps bollywoodji and infant vaccine tracker are still there...
Rooting is fine with gingerbreak or superoneclick (new edition)..
QUADRANT - 856
NEOCORE -    36.5 (without touch)
                         33.4 (with touch)

NO USER DATA DELETED (ATLEAST FOR ME)
TASK KILLER APP IS MISSING
TOOK 20 MINS.

HOW TO INSTALL GINGERBREAD ON P500
Download lg mobile update tool from : www.update.lgmobile.com
OR http://www.mediafire.com/?yges5d92o7bewqq (THIS FILE IS PURELY OFFICIAL AND UPLOADED BY ME)

STEPS TO INSTALL GINGERBREAD:
1. Run The exe downloaded from above
2.Wait till it fetches the latest version
3.Choose Your country
4.Connect phone to pc (ENSURE THAT IT IS "NOT" IN USB DEBUGGING MODE "NOR" IN MASS STORAGE MODE )
5.Install the usb drivers (RECOMMENDED EVEN IF YOU ARE SURE YOU HAVE THEM)
6.Click On the START UPDATING link
7.After 20 mins (FOR ME) You Will have your o1 updated to gingerbread

    if i update my os, will my warranty will expire is that true??

    No not at all, warranty voids only if you install roms ie os from other sources that isn't related to lg like cyanogen mod or if you update using kdz updator,
    be rest assured that ur warranty will as it is a lg update not from outside
    use only lg mobile update tool for updating and be rest assured
    you can get the tool from lg mobile website

    mediafire link included in the post along with the detailed instructions its all simple so dont panic!!!

    regarding dust problem nothing can be done, however you can visit service centre if touchscreen is malfunctioning
    dust accumulation has been seen in many sets of good phonemakers such as nokia and blackberry..
    Tips to protect phone from dust:
    1. keep phone in the pouch provided by lg maximum time
    2. insert phone in pouch such that usb side is inside of pouch covered by the cloth
    3. avoid dusty areas

    @acehacker....

    thank you so much.... i updated my os now and it is great working on my cell.

    but it is not 2.3 GINGERBREAD :( , it is 2.2.2 but that is also cool coz really they update that touching problem in old version and UI is also faster...

    I updated my mobile... but didnt update to gingerbread.....
    It update to v10e..... and tells u updated to the latest version....

    I updated my mobile today to 2.3 gingerbread.... went to lg service centre and ths updated within 15 mins.....

    All those who want to upgrade to gingerbread first check with lg update tool if you get latest version message go to lg service centre and get it updated

    the only way to update ur cell at home is to update using lg mobile update software (link in my post)

    If u dont get update there or it shows that u have latest version u can update using KDZ updator but remember IT VOIDS YOUR CELL WARRANTY so use it if ur ok with losing warranty also some users claim that it BRICKED their cellphones.
    I dont recommend it, but if u want to use it search on google abt KDZ updator and also search and find the link of indian gb 2.3.3 software which is of version V20B

    @ acehacker, thanx for advice as u told me i went to service center and update the os and really it took only 10min and i m happy by update thanx...

    But friends can u help me how to play .flv format, i m using mobo player where movie is runing but slowlly,

    and pls can u upload full version of amp playes...

    I dont know abt players playing .flv format i usually convert all formats to divx uses less space and good quality...
    for music i recommend player pro i found it to be better than power amp

    For the dust problem visit the lg service center and ask them to clear up the dust.. mine service center installed a dust pad on the phone as well for free as it is in warranty

    I have installed this on my mobile. Initially it was Froyo 2.2

    And now there are some look based changes but the battery life is ruined. Could anyone tell me the reason?

    yeah due to performance increase .. the battery backup has decreased ...

    But there are some ways by which it can be increased ....

    There is an issue with the gprs as well. Once disconnected for more than an hour it wont connect back. The only option left is to restart the handset. Due to this, i kept my gprs on all the time but that also created problem in the long run as even when the gprs shows its connected no software could connect to internet except the default browser.
